Its soft gel formulation makes it suitable for use anywhere on the body.

The pad is made from a mineral-oil-infused polymer gel. The gel slowly releases medical-grade mineral oil, which is designed to soften and moisturise the skin while the soft polymer cushions against pressure and friction. A hook backing allows it to be attached to loop-compatible surfaces in braces, splints and orthoses.

Each pad is 63.5 mm in diameter and is available in 3 mm or 6 mm thickness.

Key Features

May help offload pressure

Helps absorb shock and shear forces

Soft gel formulation for use anywhere

Gel releases medical-grade mineral oil to soften skin

Hook backing for attachment to loop-compatible surfaces

Round 63.5 mm shape

Choice of 3 mm or 6 mm thickness

Technical Characteristics

Material: Mineral-oil-infused polymer gel

Sizes: One size, 63.5 mm (2.5 in) diameter

Sold As: Each

Thickness / Dimensions: 3 mm or 6 mm thick

Backing: Hook

Typical Applications in Prosthetics & Orthotics

Brace and orthosis padding

Splint padding in hand therapy

Pressure relief over bony prominences

Prosthetic interface padding

Shear reduction at strap contact points

Typical Users

Orthotists

Prosthetists

Podiatrists

Physiotherapists

Hand therapists

Pharmacies

Patients for home use

The Qadam Round Mineral-Oil Gel Pad with Hook Backing offers soft, repositionable gel cushioning for braces, splints and other devices.
