Description
The Amparo Motio Functional Reports Software is a web-based clinical assessment and reporting platform that transforms real-world mobility data from the Motio StepWatch into clear, objective functional information for lower-limb prosthetic users.
Through the Motio App, clinicians can combine wearable activity data with recognised clinical outcome measures to create a comprehensive picture of the patient’s functional ability. The system uses proprietary algorithms to generate scores relating to ambulation energy, cadence variability and peak performance, which can then be combined with the clinician’s recommended K-level to determine the Motio Functional Level.
Key Features
- Web-based clinical reporting platform
- Converts Motio StepWatch data into structured functional reports
- Provides objective analysis of real-world prosthetic activity
- Generates scores for:
- Ambulation energy
- Cadence variability
- Peak performance
- Produces a Motio Functional Level
- Integrates recognised clinical outcome measures
- Automatically generates comprehensive reports
- Stores patient history to track progress over time
- Supports reimbursement documentation
- Unlimited cloud storage available within the Motio service
- Designed for prosthetists, rehabilitation teams, specialists and insurers
Integrated Outcome Measures
The Motio platform brings together important prosthetic and rehabilitation assessment tools, including:
- AMPPRO®
- PLUS-M™
- Timed Up and Go (TUG)
It can also support structured walking assessments such as the 2-Minute Walk Test, 6-Minute Walk Test and 10-Metre Walk Test using activity captured during the patient's normal daily life, helping reduce the amount of appointment time required for formal testing.
Comprehensive Functional Reports
Once the patient’s monitoring period is complete, the Motio system combines activity data and clinical assessment information into a structured Motio Functional Report.
Report highlights can include:
- Average steps
- Cadence
- Top speed
- Maximum continuous walking distance
- Functional performance scores
- Clinical outcome measures
- Recommended functional level
Supporting Clinical and Reimbursement Decisions
The Motio Functional Reports Software helps clinicians replace subjective estimates with quantitative mobility evidence. This can support decisions about prosthetic component selection, rehabilitation planning and changes in prescription.
Amparo also positions the reports as supporting reimbursement justification, providing documented evidence of a patient’s functional needs and helping demonstrate why particular prosthetic components may be clinically appropriate.
By combining real-world wearable data with established clinical assessments, the Amparo Motio Functional Reports Software provides prosthetic teams with a practical tool for evidence-based functional classification, outcome measurement and long-term patient monitoring.
