Prosthetic pylons form the structural shank of a modular lower-limb prosthesis, linking the socket or knee to the foot and setting the length of the limb. They are cut to length during fitting and connected with tube clamp adapters or integrated adapters.
This collection covers aluminium, carbon fibre and kit pylons for transtibial (below-knee) and transfemoral (above-knee) builds, including pylons with integrated tube adapters that reduce part count and weight.
Choosing a pylon
- Aluminium pylons – lightweight and cost-effective for everyday users
- Carbon fibre pylons – the lightest option with a high strength-to-weight ratio for active users
- Integrated pylons – adapter and tube in one piece for simpler, cleaner builds
- Always match the pylon diameter (typically 30 mm or 34 mm) to the tube clamp adapters and check the maximum body weight rating
