Description
The nora® Norit® semi-expanded sheet, smooth – leather coloured 25, is a high-density orthopaedic material designed for stabilising and reinforcement applications in orthopedic footwear, prosthetics, and orthotics. With very high hardness, excellent dimensional stability, and outstanding bending endurance, this material is ideal for structural components that require strength, durability, and precise shaping.
Norit® is widely used in orthopedic shoe manufacturing and O&P workshops for stiffeners, supports, and reinforcement elements where long-term stability is essential. The semi-expanded structure allows accurate machining, milling, cutting, and grinding while maintaining its shape under load. The material can also be sewn and bonded easily, making it suitable for both traditional shoemaking techniques and modern fabrication methods.
Thanks to its excellent thermoforming properties, Norit® sheets can be heated and shaped for custom applications without losing strength. The material is wear-resistant, washable, and highly reliable in daily clinical use.
