Description
Stanley Retractable Blade Knife is a classic heavy-duty utility knife designed for reliable everyday cutting in workshops, clinics, fabrication areas, and general maintenance environments. Based on the STANLEY 99E Classic Retractable Blade Utility Knife, it features a strong yet lightweight die-cast zinc body, a retractable standard utility blade, and STANLEY’s InterLock® nose system, which helps secure the blade firmly in place for safer, more accurate cutting.
This knife is well suited to orthotics and prosthetics workshops where controlled hand cutting is needed for packaging, trimming sheet materials, opening cartons, cutting leatherboard, foams, and other light workshop materials. The ergonomic metal body is shaped for a comfortable grip, while the retractable blade design helps improve safety during storage and handling. STANLEY states that the knife includes blade storage in the handle for up to 10 blades and uses a three-position retractable blade format for added control and versatility.
The STANLEY 99E is described by the manufacturer as the brand’s original retractable utility knife, with a long-established reputation for durability and straightforward performance. Published specifications list a 160 mm length, 30 mm width, 20 mm height, and 0.17 kg weight. The knife uses standard utility blades with a standard carbon finish, and blades are included in the pack.
