Description
The Ethnocare Overlay TF is an innovative transfemoral prosthetic volume-management system designed to improve socket fit, stability and comfort for above-knee amputees experiencing residual-limb volume fluctuations.
Using an air-expansion system, the Overlay TF allows the user to adjust socket fit as limb volume changes throughout the day. This can help maintain more consistent contact between the residual limb and socket, reduce unwanted movement and provide a practical alternative to relying solely on traditional prosthetic socks or repeated socket adjustments.
Designed specifically for transfemoral amputees, the Overlay TF is compatible with a broad range of suspension methods, including pin lock, self-suspension, passive and active vacuum, seal rings, lanyard systems and cushion liners.

Clinical Application
The Ethnocare Overlay TF is particularly suited to transfemoral amputees who experience changing residual-limb volume, socket looseness, pistoning or inconsistent fit during the day.
By providing an adjustable interface between the residual limb and socket, the Overlay TF gives users greater control over socket fit while providing prosthetists with an additional tool for managing volume changes without immediately modifying or replacing the socket.
