nora® Astro form 8 – Light-Weight Expanded Rubber Sheets – Soft Cushioning and Shock Absorbing Material

Description

The nora® Astro form 8 expanded rubber sheet – 318 ice blue is a lightweight, soft cushioning material developed for orthotic, prosthetic, and orthopedic footwear applications where high comfort, excellent recovery, and reliable shock absorption are required. The material combines very good resilience with low compression set, allowing it to maintain its cushioning performance even under repeated loading.

Astro form 8 provides effective pressure distribution and impact reduction, making it ideal for sensitive foot applications, diabetic footbeds, and prosthetic or orthotic padding. The material is soft enough for comfort while still offering sufficient stability for medium-load applications, ensuring long-term durability and consistent performance.

The closed-cell surface structure prevents moisture penetration and allows hygienic cleaning, making the material suitable for clinical use. It is also thermoformable and easy to bond, allowing efficient processing in both traditional fabrication and CAD/CAM workflows.
