Description
The nora® Astro form 15 expanded rubber sheet – 339 sky blue is a lightweight, soft cushioning material designed for orthotic, prosthetic, and orthopedic footwear applications where excellent shock absorption, high recovery capability, and long-term resilience are required. Compared to softer grades, Astro form 15 provides a slightly firmer structure with increased durability, making it ideal for applications where cushioning must be combined with higher load resistance.
Manufactured from light cellular rubber with a unique material composition, Astro form 15 offers outstanding recovery after compression while maintaining its shape even under repeated stress. The material distributes pressure evenly, helping to reduce pain and protect sensitive areas, making it particularly suitable for diabetic footbeds, forefoot replacements, heel cushioning, and orthotic padding.
The closed-cell structure ensures hygienic use by preventing sweat, wound secretions, and bacteria from penetrating the material. The surface can be easily cleaned and disinfected, making it suitable for long-term clinical use. Astro form 15 is thermoformable, easy to bond, and simple to process, allowing efficient fabrication in both traditional workshops and CAD/CAM workflows.
